Brand’s I dream about…

HBO (max)

HBO has partnered with world-renowned brand (and my personal agency crush) Giant Spoon for almost a decade. From Game of Thrones, Last of Us, and Westworld… HBO and Giant Spoon have created some of the greatest experiential projects to date.

Being in the room where someone said, “So what if we put a dragon on the Empire State Building?” is what my dreams are made of.

My favorite show of all time is Barry. A stunning work of storytelling and character development. Yes, I know the show is over… but I still fantasize about creating an activation where attendees start off thinking they signed up for an improved class only to be thrown into a real-life murder mystery.

Farmers Insurance

My favorite tagline in all of commercial history is probably, “We know a thing or two, because we’ve seen a thing or two.” I quote it almost once a week. JK Simmons embodies this serious-not-serious role so well.

For an activation, I‘d like to bring to life the “Hall of Claims” from THIS commercial series for attendees to walk through with insurance agents as brand ambassadors.

Atlas Obscura

I’m all about oddities. My favorite thing to do is explore abandoned buildings and check out long-forgotten landmarks. I use Atlas Obscura every time I travel to find the places so many overlook because theyre a bit off the beaten path.

I think a partnership with whimsical or mythical brands like “Magic the Gathering” or “Harry Potter” could be a really interesting campaign idea. What would the wizarding world’s Atlas Obscura hold? The original site of The Great Troll Uprising of 1412? Or tell me all about the hidden caves in the Lonely Mountain.

Pantone

I’m obsessed with color. What more needs to be said? My background in color theory helps me uniquely see the world for all of its vibrancy.

There’s a board game called “Hues and Cues” that, I believe, could be brought into classrooms across the world. I think if Pantone were to partner with this board game it could really create something magical. and if they would let me make a massive human-sized board of Pantone colors to mimic this game— I’d probably not shut up about it till the day I turn into Pantone 13-1018.

San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is one of the top tourist destinations in Southern California. I had the luxury of living only an hour away from this stunning home of over 12,000 animals. It was here I first fell in love with Elephants (ask me all about my elephant tattoos at your own risk).

I don’t know if I can beat the “Cry Me a Cockroach” campaign out of the San Antonio Zoo though. Donate $5-20 and you get to name a cockroach after your squirmy little ex. I mean… come on.

Waffle House

Being born and raised in Georgia is hardly something I scream from the rooftops…. BUT I will always profess my love for Waffle House. I’ve spent many of my early morning hours sitting in a sticky booth with my chocolate chip waffle and a side of hash browns— scattered covered smothered, of course.

Waffle House doesn’t really do marketing, their brand loyalists will flock to the diners by the dozens regardless of the ads they put out. I think a campaign that would be interesting is one surrounding the “Waffle House Index” and how to make it a real part of their brand.

Little Bites

A late 90’s baby in my own right, I grew up with all the sugary breakfasts. Pop-Tarts and Lucky Charms all day every day. Little Bites were always in my pantry as a kid and I cannot believe my mom would let me eat this much sugar for breakfast, but hey that was my teacher’s problem, not hers.

My idea to bring Little Bites to life is just that— little bites. A world brought to a massive scale where you are the small and the muffins are big. It would bring out the kid-like nature in all of us to go into a world of giant breakfast foods.

The tagline: Take a “Little” Bite.

Converse

Do you remember Tumblr? Not Tumblr as we know it now, but early Tumblr, the one with emo poems and over-the-top photo filters… well I had a Tumblr page dedicated to my Converse. I wore them everywhere. And everywhere they went, I took the same picture.

The point of my page was to showcase the evolution of how my Converse were a part of who I was. They aged just as I did, they got scuffs and holes in the soles, each time I dyed my hair a different color of Splat hair dye, my Converse held those memories.

I still have my forrest green Converse from 2009 even though the rubber has hardened and the laces are frayed. I don’t wear them. But sometimes I pull them out of the closet and hold them close. (well not that close because they kinda smell)

Museum of Natural History

My comfort movie is Night of the Museum. If somehow I could bring to life for one day all of the exhibits in a museum so that guests could experience history in its most interactive form, my life would be complete, I need nothing else.

Please Please PLEASE if you know anyone who works at a museum let me hire some actors and let’s bring some magic into your halls.

REI Co-Op

One of the highlights of the REI brand is its dedication to small artists. They love to partner with locals to create stunning art. Either for their package design, gift cards, promotions, or even interactive exhibits.

My dream would be to bring together all of these illustrators, photographers, and creatives for one evening showcasing all of the work over the past decades. Not only would this be an opportunity to learn more about what these artists have been up to since their collaboration, but also be a chance to celebrate community artwork.
